| Welcome to the world of the "terrible two`s". Two year olds bring alot of joy; they also bring alot of self doubt to parents who can`t seem to leave the house without a tantrum. When raising toddlers there are a few important foundations to live by:1.Be consistant-you must be sure that `no` means `no`. If you tell your child no more cookies, and if he starts screaming loud enough he knows you`ll cave, then forget about your child taking you seriously. 2.Don`t lose your joy. It`s really easy to get frustrated and find yourself spending most of your day angry and giving time outs. You will have so many regrets when your kids get older and you have lost the majic of toddlerhood. Joy is a parent`s best friend. 3. Build routines into your child`s day. If a child knows what to expect it will be much easier to communicate. For more ideas keep an eye out for my book...slovie |
