The Hineni
Heritage Center Multi-media Museum is truly unique. Its 3 themed
rooms combine music, photographs, words and design which flow into
one another to let the visitor experience the continuity of Judaism
over the ages...The Jewish Way of Life Room, the como their
homecoming to Israel after the horrors of the Holocaust. Through
photos and music, we experience their elation and joy, as immigrants
arrive in Israel. The holy city of Jerusalem is shown in all its
glory...its importance in the hearts of Jews is illuminated.
The
Jewish Way of Life Room shows the traditions and continuity
of the Jewish life cycle. These are the ties that have kept Jews
together for thousands of years in a religion whose rituals are
centered around the home. It illustrates the sanctification of life
and G-d's name through the compo connected with them, which is the
tie that unites Jews the world over.
The Holocaust
Room is a moving account of the darkest time in Jewish history,
narrated by Esther Jungreis. The
Rebbetzin
was just a little girl when her family was forced from their home in
Szeged, Hungary to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Through
photographs and the Rebbetzin's memorif the Holocaust is
personalized, and made real with great force and creativity.
The
Israel Room illustrates the fulfillment of prophesy...the
gathering of the exiles, and their homecoming to Israel after the
horrors of the Holocaust. Through photos and music, we experience
their elation and joy, as immigrants arrive in Israel. The holy city
of Jerusalem is shown in all its glory...its importance in the
hearts of Jews is illuminated.
